TALLADEGA KICKS ASS AGAIN!!

All I can say about this past weekend's race at Talledega is: WOW!!!! I'm pretty sure that the spoiler had something to do with the show, and of course the new size restrictor plate. But don't forget, the drivers, who are now allowed to police themselves had a lot to do with it too.

Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon, were at it again. Johnson admitted he made a mistake, but that didn't pacify Mr. Gordon, and I don't blame him one damn bit. When Gordon finally gets mad enough to do something about it, ironically, he'll be wrecking his own car, as he's part owner of the 48. If I were in his shoes, I wouldn't or couldn't care less. It's about time someone put him in his place.

Did Jammie McMurray and Kevin Harvick give us a finish, or what?!?! The eighth closest finish in NASCAR history, since the advent of electronic scoring. I was on the edge of my seat, shouting at the TV. Not very dignified for a man my age, but I don't care. I was having a blast and enjoying it to the limit. Great show, guys.

My, my, my, was that Dale Earnhardt, Jr. in the top fifteen again? Mark my words, that team is going to turn things around, and soon. Oh, and don't look now, but Mark Martin has quietly moved in to the top 12 in points. I said it at the beginning of the year, and even put my money where my mouth is in Vegas. Dale Jr., or Mark Martin will win the cup this year. I still believe it.

On to Richmond. History. Short track racing and short track tempers. I can hardly wait to see what happens when the 24 and 48 get next to each other. That ought to be classic!!!!

My Pick: Tony Stewart. He's mad, he's hungry, and he's due.

See you at the track!!

PS: The Drivers might not like this, but I'm kinda getting hooked on this Doubleheader Racing.
