NATIONWIDE AT RICHMOND WAS....WELL......DISAPOINTING

The Nationwide and Cup Series are both at historic Richmond this weekend. Short track racing and tempers. Under the lights. Beatin' and Bangin'. Trading Paint. Have it it, Boys. I absolutely couldn't wait for the Green Flag to drop. Man, was I in for a surprise.

I just watched the Nationwdie race, and with the exception of the finish, it was......BORING!!!!

Nobody seemed to have the want-to as far as winning the race goes, except for Brad Kezelowski and Kyle Busch. Jammie McMurray had a solid top ten run for JR Motorsports and was in position to win it at the end. Greg Biffle was in the mix.
But, as we see in Cup with Jimmie Johnson, we saw the same people running up front and another repeat winner. Brad Kezelowski won again, and Kyle Busch finished second again. YAAAAAAAWWWWWN.

NASCAR has done an excellent job of listening to the fans, and giving us much better and more exciting racing. But this one, was a yawner. That's not NASCAR's fault, this time. The drivers just didn't seem to be into it. Which is sad, because that's got to be one of the coolest jobs in the world. There was absolutely no on-track intensity until about 15 laps to go Then the caution came out. OK. Cool. Green White Checker restart. Maybe this will give us something to talk about. It did, but it sure didn't make up for the rest of the race.

I have stated in the past, at least until NASCAR loosened the reins this year, that for the most part, the Nationwide racing was better than the Cup racing. That's not so this year, as I just said. But I gotta say, I was really disapointed with the show they put on tonight. Tomorrow night, the Cup guys get their chance.

But they won't have to work too hard to top what we saw tonight.
